About Giggles Grove
More than childcare — a childhood.
Giggles Grove is a home-based childcare setting in Adliswil where little ones truly flourish — caring for up to four children aged six months to five years, Monday to Friday.
At the heart of Giggles Grove is a simple belief: children deserve more than safe, reliable care. They deserve a childhood filled with adventure, discovery, and days that feel rich, purposeful, and genuinely exciting.
Giggles Grove is a warm, playful family home where children feel secure, relaxed, and completely free to be themselves. With such a small group, we are able to truly know each child — their personality, their pace, their interests, and what makes them uniquely them — and support their development in a thoughtful, meaningful way.
Small-group childcare is especially valuable during the early years. Children learn so much from one another — often in ways adults simply cannot replicate. The friendships formed in these early years are more significant than we sometimes realise, shaping confidence, empathy, emotional regulation, and social skills for life.
Giggles Grove offers families the social richness of group childcare alongside the warmth and personal attention of a nanny setting. Homemade meals, themed activities, weekly swimming, creative play, and thoughtful outings are all part of everyday life here. This is childhood as it should be: rich in wonder, adventure, and full of possibility.

Daily Adventures
From forest trails and the Wildnispark on our doorstep, cable car rides up Felsenegg, small hikes, boat trips on Lake Zürich, farm visits, numerous parks, and playgrounds — our days are filled with opportunities to explore and discover. Zürich has so much to offer, and we love making the most of it.
Our adventures are inspired by whatever the children are currently fascinated by — dinosaurs, trains, animals, art, nature, and so much more. Their interests shape our days, and their ideas, questions, and excitement genuinely help guide where our adventures take us next. Every outing is carefully planned so it's safe, enjoyable, and just right for the children in our care.
Homemade Food
Nutritious, homemade meals are prepared with care and always shared together — a calm and social part of each day. I focus on balance and variety, with fruit and healthy snacks offered throughout the day. Sample two-week menus are included in our Information Pack for enquiring families.
Weekly Swimming
Every week, we head to Adliswil Badi for swimming and paddling — one of the children's absolute favourite parts of the week. It builds confidence in the water, supports physical development, and is pure joy for little ones. In the summer months, the outdoor Badis become a favourite destination, with endless fun in the sunshine.
Regular Zürich Zoo Visits
We visit Zürich Zoo regularly throughout the year — and it is always a very special outing for the children. It's a brilliant way to spark curiosity about the natural world, build vocabulary, and create those magical childhood memories that children talk about for years.
Weekly Indoor Play Centre
Each week, we visit an indoor play centre—a fantastic space for developing gross motor skills, coordination, and physical confidence, while giving children the freedom to play, explore, and burn off energy. Of course, when the sun is shining, you’ll usually find us out enjoying outdoor adventures instead.
Themed Weeks & Creative Play
Each week is thoughtfully centred around a special theme that gently flows through everything we do — from the stories we read and the crafts we create to the songs we sing, the treats we bake, and the adventures we share together. Even our meals sometimes become part of the experience. Children are encouraged to immerse themselves in imaginative play, hands-on art and sensory activities, building, creating, exploring, and discovering the simple magic of joyful childhood days. Children can dress in theme colours or bring a special toy from home that connects to the week.
Special occasions are woven beautifully throughout the year — from Christmas and Halloween to birthdays and seasonal celebrations — keeping each week feeling fresh, exciting, and full of wonder. Teddy bear picnics and sports days are always among the children’s favourite memories. Here’s a little glimpse of what our weeks look like…
Themed weeks come into their own once children are old enough to really enjoy and understand them. For our youngest babies, days look calmer and gentler — quiet time, fresh air, and simple sensory moments in nature — before the fuller world of crafts, stories, and adventures opens up as they grow.

A Thoughtfully Sized Group
At Giggles Grove, I care for a limited number of children, creating a warm, attentive environment where each child receives the care and support they need.
Within this small group, children naturally develop important social skills — sharing, taking turns, listening, and working through challenges together. Through everyday play and gentle guidance, they learn to express themselves, navigate emotions, and build positive relationships with others.
EYFS Milestone Tracking
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a framework that outlines the key developmental milestones children typically work towards before starting school — from communication and physical skills to social confidence and early literacy. Tracking these milestones means any areas where a child might benefit from a little extra support can be spotted early, helping to make the transition to school smoother and more confident.
Immersion in English
At Giggles Grove, English becomes a natural part of each child's day through songs, stories, games, and play. Children absorb the language effortlessly while having fun. Being introduced to different languages early on also helps strengthen important cognitive skills such as problem-solving, concentration, and memory — benefits that are essential for school.
Hours & Availability
Giggles Grove is open Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm. Full days and part days are welcome, and I am always happy to discuss flexible arrangements to suit your family's needs. To allow children to settle, bond, and truly benefit from the Giggles Grove experience, a minimum of two days per week is recommended.

- 8:00Arrivals — breakfast, nappies, a lively start to the day
- 8:45Getting ready — sun cream, hats, bags packed
- 9:00–12:00Zoo Zürich — lions, giraffes, elephants. Snack in the sunshine, heading home happily tired and buzzing
- 12:00Lunch — a warm, home-cooked meal such as pasta with tomato sauce and vegetables
- 12:30Nap & rest — well earned
- 2:30–4:30Swimming at Adliswil Badi — splashing, kicking, and lots of giggles
- 5:00Dinner — salmon with sweet potato mash and peas
- 5:30–6:00Collection — a happy, content child, and a full update on the day

Every child has their own pace — younger babies sleep more, older toddlers need a little less, but together we find our rhythm.

I am a mum to three amazing boys and an experienced childcare provider based in Adliswil. Together, these roles have given me a deep understanding of what little ones truly need in their early years.
I grew up as one of eight children in Ireland, and it was there — in the middle of all the noise, laughter, and energy — that I learned something that has stayed with me ever since: children need to feel seen.
Not simply looked after, but truly seen. Comforted when they are upset. Encouraged when they try something new. Noticed in the smallest moments, and made to feel safe, valued, and included.
The quiet one-to-one moments, the shared giggles during play, the reassurance of a familiar voice — these things may seem small, but for a young child they are everything. They are how trust is built, how confidence grows, and how children begin to feel safe in the world around them.
What I love most is how wonderfully unique every child is — gentle, funny, spirited, curious, and entirely their own. These early years are really special, and every small milestone, every moment of growth, is something to celebrate. Being part of that every single day is a privilege I never take for granted.
And this is why Giggles Grove was created — to offer something more personal, warm, and deeply nurturing. A place where children feel completely at home, where families feel genuinely supported and their input is always welcomed and valued, and where childhood is celebrated in all its magic, messiness, wonder, and joy.
